Frequently asked questions

Is Save to Google Drive free, and how much can I store?

Connecting is free. Files are saved in your own Google Drive, so the limit is your Google storage quota, shown in the usage bar at the top of the page. The file list shows up to 200 of the most recent GrabCast files.

Can GrabCast see all the files in my Google Drive?

No. The connection uses Google’s drive.file permission, which only allows access to files created through this app, never your other documents. Uploads, listing and deletes go directly from your browser to Google. If you’re logged in to GrabCast, the connected Drive email is synced to your account so it’s remembered on other devices.

How do I save a downloaded video or transcript to Google Drive?

Connect Google Drive, then click ⬆ Upload and pick the file you saved from GrabCast, such as an MP4, MP3, transcript or image. It appears in the list once the upload finishes. Only upload content you own or have permission to use.

Why won’t Google Drive connect?

The Google sign-in opens in a pop-up, so allow pop-ups for this site and try again. Browser extensions that block third-party scripts can also stop Google’s sign-in from loading. If you declined a permission, click Connect again and approve access.

How do I disconnect GrabCast from my Google Drive?

Click Disconnect on the page to revoke the access token for this session, or choose Use a different account to switch. To remove the app completely, open your Google Account’s security settings, find third-party apps with account access and remove GrabCast. Files already saved stay in your Drive.

What file types can I save to Google Drive from GrabCast?

Any single file you choose can be uploaded, including videos, audio, PDFs, images and text files. Files are stored exactly as uploaded, with no conversion or compression. Deleting a file here removes it from your Drive permanently, and the page asks you to confirm first.
