Frequently asked questions

Which formats can I convert to?

JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and TIFF work in every modern browser. AVIF appears in the list when your browser can encode it (recent Chrome and Edge).

Does it keep transparency?

Yes for PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and GIF (GIF keeps on/off transparency). JPG and BMP have no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with the background color you pick.

Can I convert a multi-page TIFF?

Yes. Choose TIFF pages: All pages and each page becomes its own image, ready to download as a ZIP.

What happens to animated GIFs?

The converter saves the first frame as a still image. To make or edit animations, use the GIF Maker.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Decoding and encoding happen entirely in your browser, so your images never leave your device.

Is there a file limit?

No sign-up and no daily limit. Very large images (tens of megapixels) may take a few seconds each on a phone.
