Frequently asked questions

How do I save a single frame from a video?

Choose Just the frame on screen, pause the player on the moment you want (use the arrow keys for fine steps), then press Extract frames.

Can I get one picture every second?

Yes. Choose Every N seconds and enter 1. Enter 0.5 for two pictures a second or 10 for one every ten seconds.

What size are the images?

Original keeps the full video resolution. 1080p, 720p and 480p scale the shorter side down for smaller files.

Is there a limit on the number of frames?

Up to 500 frames per run. Use a longer interval or a shorter part for more coverage.

What if my browser can't play the video?

The tool falls back to the built-in video engine to read unusual formats, so frames can still be extracted, just a little slower.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. Frames are captured in your browser and your video never leaves your device.
