Add your photos & videos

In the composer, click πŸ“₯ Phone, Dropbox, OneDrive… (or Upload from device). Pick where your files are β€” GrabCast only ever uses the files you choose.

This device

Best for files already on your computer. Works without an account.

  1. Click Upload from device, or drag files onto the dashed box.
  2. Pick JPEG, PNG or GIF photos, or MP4 / MOV videos.
  3. Check the per-platform warnings under the composer (size, length, aspect ratio).

From your phone (QR code)

Best for videos you filmed on your phone. Your phone doesn't need the app or an account β€” only your computer needs to be signed in.

  1. On your computer: πŸ“₯ Phone, Dropbox, OneDrive… β†’ From your phone. A QR code appears.
  2. Open your phone's Camera and point it at the code, then tap the link that pops up.
  3. Tap Choose photos & videos and pick from your camera roll (you can pick several).
  4. Keep the phone page open until each file says Sent βœ“. The files appear on your computer by themselves.
The link works once, on one phone, for 15 minutes. Big videos upload in pieces β€” if the connection drops, tap Retry and it continues where it stopped. iPhone photos in HEIC: set Settings β†’ Camera β†’ Formats β†’ Most Compatible (the phone page normally converts them to JPEG for you).

Google Drive

Pick files straight from Drive. GrabCast uses Google's drive.file permission, so it can only see the files you pick β€” never the rest of your Drive.

  1. Choose Google Drive and sign in with Google the first time.
  2. Select one or more photos or videos in Google's picker and click Select.
  3. We copy each file shortly before your post goes out, so your computer can be off.
If the tile says Pending Google approval, Google is still reviewing GrabCast. Meanwhile use a share link or download the file and add it from your device.

Dropbox

Dropbox opens its own secure window (the Dropbox Chooser). You don't give GrabCast your Dropbox password, and we don't keep any Dropbox login.

  1. Choose Dropbox β†’ Choose from Dropbox.
  2. Sign in to Dropbox in its window if asked, select files and click Choose.
  3. Signed in to GrabCast? The files are copied to your GrabCast library. Not signed in? They're downloaded into this browser only.

OneDrive

For personal Microsoft accounts (Outlook, Hotmail, Live) and work or school Microsoft 365 accounts.

  1. In OneDrive, select the photo or video and click Share β†’ Copy link (anyone with the link can view).
  2. In GrabCast, choose OneDrive and paste the link (one per line). Links look like https://1drv.ms/… or https://onedrive.live.com/….
  3. Click Import. The file is copied to your GrabCast account and added to the post.
GrabCast only opens the links you paste β€” it never signs in to your Microsoft account. Needs a free GrabCast account. Work or school links that are limited to your organization can't be opened; ask for a link anyone can view, or download the file and add it from your device.

Box

Paste a Box shared link.

  1. In Box, open the file and click Share.
  2. Set access to People with the link, then Copy link.
  3. In GrabCast: Box β†’ paste the link β†’ Import.
Some company Box accounts don't allow public links. Then download the file and add it from your device or phone.

What we can't import

GrabCast imports only your own files from storage services. We don't download from TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, Vimeo or other social and video sites β€” upload the original file you made instead. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF photos; MP4 and MOV videos, up to 300 MB each.

How we handle these files: Privacy Policy. Imported files are kept like uploads β€” deleted after your post is published, or after 7 days if no post uses them.
