Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GrabCast handles your information. We designed GrabCast to be privacy-first.

1. Tools run in your browser

The majority of our tools (image converters, PDF tools, background remover, QR code, word counter, Base64, JSON, password generator, and more) run entirely in your browser. Your files are processed locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

2. Server-processed features

The video downloader and audio-to-text transcription are processed on our servers. For these, we temporarily process the URL you submit and the resulting file only to deliver the result back to you. Downloaded files are automatically deleted from our servers shortly after (within 12 hours).

3. Information we collect

• Account data (if you sign up): your email address and an encrypted password.
• Usage data: to prevent abuse of our free tier, we record counts of server-processed actions associated with your IP address and a device identifier. We do not use this to track you across other websites.
• Local storage: we store small items in your browser (language, theme, favorites) for your convenience. These stay on your device.

4. Cookies

To run the Service we use only the local storage and cookies necessary for it to function (for example, remembering your language, theme and sign-in). Our tools process your files locally in your browser and do not upload them.

5. Advertising

We may display advertising served by Google, including Google AdSense, to keep the Service free. In connection with this:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a Google-certified consent message before any personalized advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.

6. Payments

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your card details.

7. Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
