How to use 💬 Chat with Content

  1. 1. Paste the transcript, article, notes or copied PDF text into the big Paste the content to chat with box. It needs at least a few sentences to work.
  2. 2. Type a question in the Ask a question about the content field, such as “What are the main takeaways?” or “What did the speaker say about pricing?”
  3. 3. Press Ask or hit Enter. The AI answers using only your pasted content and cites the section (§) each fact comes from.
  4. 4. Ask follow-up questions in the same thread; it remembers your last few questions. Optionally click Use your own key to add a free Groq or Gemini key for higher limits.

Frequently asked questions

Is Chat with Content free, and is there a limit on questions?

Yes, it’s free with no sign-up. The shared AI has fair-use limits per minute and per day, so if you see “Free AI is busy,” wait a moment and try again. For higher limits you can paste your own free Groq or Gemini API key under “Use your own key.”

Is the text I paste into the AI chat kept private?

Your full text stays in your browser, where it’s split into passages. Each question sends only the matching passages (up to about 7,000 characters), your question and recent Q&A to our AI server, which forwards it to an AI provider (Groq or Pollinations) to write the reply. Replies are cached in server memory for about 30 minutes. Avoid pasting sensitive data.

How do I ask AI questions about a YouTube video transcript?

Copy the transcript (for example from YouTube’s “Show transcript” panel or our AI Studio), paste it into the content box, then ask things like “Summarize the key points” or “What tools were mentioned?” The answer cites the numbered section it came from so you can check it.

Why does the AI chat say the answer isn’t in the content?

It’s instructed to answer only from the passages that match your question, not from general knowledge. If the wording differs from your text, rephrase the question with words the document actually uses, or ask a broader question like “Give me an overview” so more sections are included.

Can I chat with a long article or a full book chapter?

Yes. Long text is split into passages of about 700 characters, and for each question the tool picks up to eight of the most relevant ones. Very broad questions pull an evenly spread sample, so for detailed answers ask specific questions about the part you care about.

What kind of content works best for AI document chat, and in which languages?

Plain text works best: transcripts, articles, meeting notes, emails or text copied from a PDF. There’s no file upload here, so paste the text (use Chat with PDF for PDF files). Questions and answers work in most languages, and the AI replies in the language of your question.
