Crop & Resize Video

Turn any video into a vertical 9:16 TikTok, Reels or Shorts clip, a square post or a 16:9 YouTube video — crop it or fit it with a blurred background, rotate or flip it. Free, no watermark, nothing uploaded.

Free · No sign-up

How to use Crop & Resize Video

  1. 1. Drop a video (MP4, MOV or WebM). It opens in the preview with a crop frame.
  2. 2. Pick an aspect ratio — 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9 — then drag the frame to choose what stays in the shot, or drag a corner to zoom in.
  3. 3. Prefer not to cut anything? Switch to Fit, no crop and choose a blurred, black or white background. Rotate, flip or mute if you need to, and choose the output size (720p is fastest).
  4. 4. Click Export MP4, watch the progress and Download the result. You can cancel at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free, and is there a watermark?

It is free with no sign-up and no watermark. There is no fixed length limit, but the whole video is processed in your browser's memory, so files above roughly 250 MB on a phone or 1.5 GB on a computer may fail. Trimming the clip first makes exporting faster and lighter.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. The preview uses your browser's own video player and the export is done by ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly, which downloads once (about 32 MB) and is then cached. Your video never leaves your device.

What size should I use for TikTok, Reels and Shorts?

Use 9:16. At 1080p the tool exports 1080 × 1920, the standard size for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts; 720p (720 × 1280) exports about twice as fast and is also accepted. Use 4:5 (1080 × 1350) for the Instagram feed, 1:1 for square posts and 16:9 for YouTube.

What is the difference between Crop and Fit?

Crop to fill cuts away the parts outside the frame so the video fills the whole screen. Fit, no crop keeps the entire picture and fills the empty space with a blurred copy of the video, or with black or white bars.

Does it lose quality? What format do I get?

The video has to be re-encoded, so you always get an MP4 with H.264 video (quality level CRF 23) and AAC audio at 128 kbps, which plays everywhere. The frame rate and length stay the same, and only the first audio track is kept — or none if you tick Remove audio. Choosing Original size avoids any extra scaling.

Why is exporting slow on my phone?

Encoding runs on your own device's processor rather than a server, so a long 1080p video can take several minutes — the progress bar shows an estimate. Choose 720p or 480p, trim the clip first, or use a computer for long videos.
