Frequently asked questions
How do I remove line breaks from text?
Choose the “Remove line breaks” preset to turn everything into one paragraph, or set Line breaks to “Join lines inside paragraphs” to keep paragraph breaks while fixing the hard-wrapped lines you get when copying from a PDF or email.
How do I remove duplicate lines?
Tick “Remove duplicate lines”. The first copy of each line is kept in its original position and later copies are removed. Tick “ignoring upper/lower case” to treat Apple and apple as the same line. Surrounding spaces are ignored when comparing.
Can I use regular expressions in find and replace?
Yes. Tick “Regular expression” and use standard JavaScript syntax. In the replacement, $1 inserts a captured group and \n inserts a line break. Invalid patterns are flagged instead of breaking the page.
Does stripping HTML run any code from the page I paste?
No. Tags are removed with text processing and entities are decoded without rendering anything, so scripts, images and links in the pasted HTML never load or run.
Will removing non-ASCII characters delete accented letters?
Yes, on its own it deletes them. Tick “Remove accents” as well so é becomes e and ß becomes ss before the non-ASCII step runs.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. All cleaning happens in your browser. Your last input is kept on this device so a refresh doesn’t lose it, and the share link contains only your chosen options, never the text.
