- 1. Drop a PDF into the box. The first page opens in the editor and every page appears in the strip below.
- 2. Choose where changes go in Apply changes to: all pages, the current page, odd or even pages, or a page range such as 1-3, 7.
- 3. Drag the crop box or its handles, type exact margins in inches, mm or points, or use a preset: Trim white margins, Remove 0.5 in, Fit US Letter or Fit A4.
- 4. Tick Preview result to check each page, optionally turn on Hard crop, then click Crop & download.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The PDF is rendered with pdf.js and cropped with pdf-lib inside your browser. Only those open-source libraries download the first time; the file itself never leaves your device, and the tool is free with no watermark.
Is the cropped area deleted from the file?
No. Cropping sets the page’s visible area (the CropBox), like cropping in Adobe Acrobat. Text and images outside the box are hidden but still inside the file and can be restored by changing the boxes again. Don’t use cropping to remove confidential information.
What does Hard crop do?
It also shrinks the MediaBox, plus any Trim, Bleed or Art boxes, to the same area. Some printers, print shops and older apps ignore the CropBox; with Hard crop they all see the smaller page size. The hidden content is still in the file.
How does Trim white margins work?
It renders each page in the chosen range and looks for the first non-white pixels on every side, keeping a small 6-point border. When several pages are selected it uses the smallest margin found on each side, so no page loses content and all get the same crop.
Can I crop pages differently?
Yes. Set Apply changes to Current page only, odd pages, even pages or a page range, then crop. Click any thumbnail to edit that page; the shaded part of each thumbnail shows what will be hidden. Text, links and form fields stay intact and selectable.
Does it work with rotated or scanned pages?
Yes. You crop what you see on screen, and the tool converts it correctly for pages that carry a rotation or unusual page coordinates. Scanned pages crop the same way. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first.
