Frequently asked questions
Is this online photo editor free with no watermark?
Yes. All filters and sliders are free, there’s no sign-up, and nothing is stamped on your picture. Downloads are rendered at full resolution up to 8,000 pixels on the longest side; larger photos are scaled down to that size when saved.
Are my photos uploaded when I edit them in this photo editor?
No. Filters and adjustments are drawn with your browser’s canvas, so the photo stays on your device. To protect unfinished work, the editor keeps your last image and settings in this browser’s storage (IndexedDB) and offers to restore them for up to 3 days; choose New image to clear it.
How do I make a photo black and white online?
Load the photo and tap the B&W filter for a clean monochrome look, or Noir for deeper contrast and a stronger vignette. You can still adjust Brightness, Contrast, Vignette and Blur afterwards, then download the result as a JPG or PNG.
How can I brighten a dark photo without washing it out?
Raise Brightness a little (it goes up to 150%), then nudge Contrast up if the image looks flat or down if highlights start to blow out. A touch of Warmth can make indoor shots look more natural. Hold the compare button to check against the original.
What does the warmth slider do in a photo editor?
Warmth shifts the color balance. Moving it right adds an orange tone that makes skin and sunsets look warmer; moving it left adds a blue tone for a cooler, crisper look. Here it runs from −60 to +60 and is layered on top of your other adjustments.
Should I download my edited photo as a JPG or PNG?
Choose JPG for photos you’ll share or post, since the files are much smaller; it’s saved at 92% quality. Choose PNG for lossless quality or if you plan to keep editing. Either way, the export is a fresh image, so the original camera metadata (EXIF) isn’t carried over.
