Nothing moves forward until it passes. You stay in control of every publish.

  1. IdeaType your own, or start from seasonal dates, trend feeds or your own sales. Each idea gets a score with reasons.
  2. Idea reviewDemand, seasonality, product fit, print feasibility and originality risk. Only approved ideas become designs.
  3. DesignTypography layouts on your device, or AI images with your own key. Character sets keep one character consistent.
  4. Design QAA 0–100 score for resolution, DPI, edge halos, jaggies, transparency, safe area and legibility, with suggested fixes.
  5. Legal checkBanned terms and an index of live USPTO word marks. Exact matches are blocked; near matches need your confirmation.
  6. Print checkExact pixel size and DPI per print area, transparency where needed, content inside the safe area.
  7. Product + mockupsCreate the product in your Printify or Printful account and get the provider's mockups.
  8. Ad videoA 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9 video from the mockups: hook in the first 2 seconds, animated text, music and a call to action.
  9. Publish, measure, learnYou click Publish and confirm. Your own orders and ad results show which styles work for you.

Print-ready files

PNG at the exact pixel size and DPI of the print area (for example 4500 × 5400 px at 300 DPI for a tee front), with clean transparency, or SVG for flat and typographic designs. Your provider's own values win when they differ.

Pipeline board

Every idea and design with its stage, what blocks it and the next step. A changed file makes old checks stale, so a product always matches the file that passed.

Batch designs

Upload a CSV or Excel sheet with up to 200 rows. Each row goes through the same idea review and design QA as a single design; pause, resume and retry anytime.

Character sets

Reference images you own, a locked style and colours, and clipart variants for hair, outfits, poses and expressions, so a character looks the same across designs.

Ad videos on your device

Questions

Is POD Studio really free?

Yes. The studio, the print-ready exports, the checks, mockups from your provider and the on-device ad videos are free with no watermark. You need a free GrabCast account. Optional premium AI steps use your own AI provider key, and that provider may charge you.

Which print-on-demand providers does it work with?

Printify and Printful. You connect your own account by pasting your own API token. Printify can publish to the sales channel connected to your Printify shop, such as Shopify. For Shopify stores connected to Printful, Printful's API can't create products, so POD Studio gives you a hand-off pack: the print-ready files, the specs and a link to finish in Printful.

Are the files really print-ready?

Each design is exported at the pixel size and DPI of the print area you pick (for example 4500 x 5400 px at 300 DPI for a tee front), as PNG with transparency where the product needs it, or SVG for flat and typographic designs. A design QA score and a print check look at resolution, edges, transparency and the safe area before the file can be used. Provider values override the defaults when they differ.

Does it check trademarks?

It checks design text against a banned-terms list and an index of live USPTO word marks in print-on-demand classes, and blocks exact matches. It is not legal advice: always search tmsearch.uspto.gov yourself before you sell.

Does POD Studio scrape Etsy or Amazon?

No. Ideas come from what you type, seasonal calendars, trend feeds, AI brainstorming with your own key and your own sales data. Marketplace links and listing text are not accepted as input.

Will anything be published without me?

No. Publishing to your shop always needs your click and a confirmation, and only after the legal, print and publish checks pass for the exact file. Ad videos are added to the Scheduler as drafts; nothing is posted until you schedule it.
