Questions
Are these templates really free?
Yes. Every template, the editor, the music and sound effects and the MP4/PNG exports are free, with no watermark and no sign-up. A free account is only needed to save designs to the cloud.
Can I use the templates for commercial work?
Yes. Official GrabCast templates may be used for personal and commercial projects, including client work and ads. The fonts are licensed under the SIL Open Font License and the music is generated on your device, so there is nothing to license.
Are my photos and videos uploaded?
No. Your photos, clips and logo are processed in your browser and never leave your device. Only the template itself (text, colours and timing) is saved when you save a design to your account. The one exception is the optional “Upload to my Scheduler account” button, which asks first.
Which formats can I export?
Videos export as MP4 (H.264 video with AAC audio) in Chrome, Edge and Safari, or WebM in Firefox, at 720p or 1080p. Images export as PNG or JPG at full resolution, and carousels as a zip of PNG slides.
Where does the music come from?
The music and sound effects are generated from scratch in your browser for every video, in moods such as upbeat pop, lo-fi or corporate. There are no licensed tracks, so there are no copyright claims.
Can I share my own templates?
A community gallery for sharing templates is coming soon. Until then you can save your designs to your free account, remix them, and download any design as a template file (.json) to share it yourself — the file contains only text, colours and timing, never your photos.Yes. Open any template, make it yours, then choose Export & share → Publish to the community. You confirm that it is your own work and dedicate it to the public domain (CC0). Your photos, logo and handle are never included. Templates are checked automatically, a new creator's first templates are reviewed by trusted community members before they appear, and people can rate and report templates.
