How to trim a video and add subtitles
- 1. Drop in or select a video (MP4, MOV or WebM). It loads instantly in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
- 2. On the Trim & Cut tab, drag the Start and End handles to pick the exact section. Choose Fast (lossless) or Precise (frame-exact), then click Trim & download.
- 3. On the Auto Subtitles tab, click Generate subtitles — speech is transcribed right in your browser. Edit the text, then download .srt/.vtt or embed the subtitle track.

Frequently asked questions
Is the video trimmer and subtitle maker free and watermark-free?
Yes — 100% free, with no watermark, no account and no signup. Trimming and automatic subtitles both run at no cost.
Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No. The video is trimmed and transcribed entirely in your browser using WebAssembly and in-browser AI, so the file never leaves your device.
How are the automatic subtitles generated?
A speech-recognition model (Whisper) runs locally in your browser to turn the audio into timed captions. You can edit them, download .srt/.vtt, or embed a subtitle track. Adding your own AI key makes it faster and more accurate.
What size video can it handle?
Short clips work best. Very large videos over a few hundred MB can run out of memory in the browser, so use a desktop browser and keep clips reasonably short.
