Video transcript
  1. Choose URL / Text. Pick what the code should open: a link, Wi-Fi login, contact, email, text or phone.
  2. Type your link. The QR code updates as you type, so you can see it right away.
  3. Pick a color. Dark dots on a light background scan best. Here: deep indigo.
  4. Set error correction. Quartile still scans when the print gets a little scratched or folded.
  5. Download the PNG. Test it with your phone camera, then print it or add it to your flyer.

How to use QR Code Generator

  1. 1. Pick a QR type: URL / Text, WiFi, Contact, Email, SMS or Phone, then fill in the fields that appear.
  2. 2. Adjust Size, Error correction, Dots color and Background color. A warning appears if the colors are too low-contrast to scan reliably.
  3. 3. Optionally click Add logo to place your logo in the center; error correction is locked to High while the logo is on, so the code still scans, and the logo is included in both the PNG and SVG downloads.
  4. 4. Scan the preview with your phone camera to test it, then click Download PNG or SVG (vector) for print.

Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator free, and do the codes expire?

Yes, it’s free with no sign-up. The codes are static, meaning your link or text is stored directly inside the pattern, so they never expire and keep working forever. There are no scan limits, but you can’t edit a code after printing it.

Is the information in my QR code sent to your server?

No. The QR code is generated in your browser, including WiFi passwords and contact details, and your logo stays on your device too. Scans go straight to your link or data rather than through a GrabCast redirect, so we can’t see or track them.

How do I make a QR code for my WiFi network?

Choose WiFi, enter your network name (SSID) and password, pick the security type (usually WPA/WPA2/WPA3) and tick Hidden network if needed. Guests can then scan it with their phone camera to join without typing the password. Print it or display it near your router.

Can I add my logo to a QR code without breaking it?

Yes. Click Add logo and pick an image (PNG, JPG or SVG); it’s placed in the center on a small background patch, covering about a fifth of the code’s width. Error correction is locked to High (30%) while the logo is on, so the covered area can be recovered. Always test-scan before printing.

Why won’t my QR code scan?

Common causes are low contrast, light dots on a dark background, a code printed too small, or too much text packed into it. Use dark dots on a light background, print at least about 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, and shorten long URLs so the pattern is less dense.

Should I download my QR code as PNG or SVG?

Use PNG for websites, social media, slides and documents; raise the Size slider for a larger image. Use SVG for printing on flyers, posters, menus or packaging, because the code is a vector that stays perfectly sharp at any size. An added logo is embedded inside the SVG file too — an SVG logo stays vector, while photos and PNG logos are embedded at up to 1024 pixels.
